Cafe 100, in Hilo, Hawaii, hosted a special unveiling ceremony on Monday, April 13, 2026, dedicating new storyboards and a commemorative banner that honor the restaurant’s namesake, the 100th Infantry Battalion, and its founder, Richard Seiji Miyashiro (Co. B), a decorated combat veteran of the 100th Infantry Battalion (Separate).

A Purple Heart City sign dedication ceremony was held on December 22, 2025 at the 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans Clubhouse in Honolulu, recognizing the city's commitment to honoring those wounded or killed in service —and paying tribute to the Hawaii-born 100th Infantry Battalion, known in WWII as “The Purple Heart Battalion.”

On December 9, 2025, the 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans (Club 100) were honored to accept the Commendation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for Club 100’s role in establishing mutual understanding between Japan and Hawaii, as well as the USA.
